Bright Beginnings Early Childhood

The Kent ISD Bright Beginnings Program is a partnership between Kent Intermediate School District and Northview Public Schools. The program provides services to families with children birth to kindergarten entry.  Bright Beginnings Parent Educators deliver services to families in Northview through the Parents as Teachers program.  Parents as Teachers is a parent education and family support program that begins prenatally and extends through age five.  Parents as Teacher believes that all parents will be their children’s best first teachers.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a parent education and family support program designed to empower ALL PARENTS to give their children the best possible start in life.  PAT provides developmental information for children ages birth to kindergarten entry and suggests learning opportunities to encourage language, intellectual, physical and social/emotional growth.  PAT provides personal visits, play groups, parent meetings, developmental screening, resource networking and nutritional information resources.  Contact Denise Kreske (616-447-4904) for more information.
