Spring Student Testing

Spring State Assessments

It’s that time of year!  The yearly spring state assessment window is opening soon for schools across Michigan, including Northview.  Each school building will be communicating directly about student schedules (by grade level) and important dates for the M-Step, PSAT, SAT and ACT Workeys.

Attached below is a letter from State Superintendent Brian Whiston regarding this year’s assessments as well as a long-range view of state testing.  It includes a link to the State of Michigan website (www.michigan.gov/mstep) where you can learn (1) what you as a parent can do to help prepare your child and (2) what Michigan’s student assessments are all about.

Please contact your building principal or Liz Cotter (lcotter@nvps.net) with any questions.  Thank you for your support as we work together to prepare students for life’s next step.
