Leisure Classes

Northview Recreational Basketball

Adult recreational basketball is designed to give all interested individuals the opportunity to participate and meet new people while competing with and against community members.

League Format: Adult pick-up style league.  Individuals will play one night a week for 12 weeks. Basketballs are be provided.

Registration:  Registration and payment is due prior to the first game.

Cost:  $20.00

Location:  Highlands Gym

Dates:  September 27 – December 20, 2017

NEW!  TAI CHI CHUAN FOR BEGINNERS
Tai Chi Chuan is the Chinese system of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation and improving your balance and health.  This class is designed for adults of all ages and promotes a comfortable and enjoyable way to learn the very basic movements.  A factor to mention in the growing interest of Tai Chi is the ongoing biomedical research that shows many positive effects on brain activity and other health benefits.

POP PILATES is a combination of ab chiseling and total body defining moves choreographed to pop hits.  Not only are you working out, but you are also dancing your way on a mat from one move to the next creating a rock solid core.  It takes classical Pilates to the next level.

CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events)

CRASE Registration Form

Please join Deputy Andy Kozal, Northview Public Schools School Resource Officer for a free 1-hour presentation on CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events).

The CRASE course is designed to give schools, business and community members strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Both sessions are open to adults 18 and over.

Thursday, October 12 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. (presentation) (questions/answers to follow)

SESSION 2
Wednesday, October 25 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.(presentation)(questions/answers to follow)

Location:  Northview High School, Media Center Computer Lab

Limited to 70 people each day.

Tuition and Refund Policies: 1. FEES cover instructional costs only unless otherwise indicated. 2. EARLY REGISTRATION is urged to ensure having each class offered. It is necessary that a minimum number enroll. We do not send out confirmations or reminders; contact our office to verify receipt of registration and payment. 3. REFUNDS: A full refund is made if the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or if the class fills before your registration is received. If you withdraw from a class up to three full working days in advance of its starting date, you receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. NO REFUND if you cancel on the day the class begins. NO REFUNDS are made after the class has started, regardless of attendance.
