Community Choir

New Program!

CODA - A Northview Community ChoirJudy Pellerito and Diane Cosby continue their Northview partnership with the inaugural offering of CODA, a Northview Community Choir, open to any NV Resident or Non-resident ages 13 through 103. This is a “come one, come all” choir dedicated to the enjoyment of meaningful expression and fellowship through the vocal arts. Commitment to 7 of the 9 rehearsals and concert attendance is expected. Cost is $50. If this interests you, please register and pay as soon as possible to ensure the program is not cancelled.

Community Band

We are looking for anyone who has ever played an instrument in high school (or beyond) and is looking to be a part of making music again. This year, Mr. David Wells has decided to pass the baton on to one of his former students. Troy Anderson is a 1995 graduate of Northview. He is currently the Director of Bands at Kelloggsville and has vast experience as a performer, teacher, director and clinician.  Please pre-register now!

Tai Chi Chuan

TAI CHI CHUAN FOR BEGINNERS
Tai Chi Chuan is the Chinese system of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation and improving your balance and health.  This class is designed for adults of all ages and promotes a comfortable and enjoyable way to learn the very basic movements.  A factor to mention in the growing interest of Tai Chi is the ongoing biomedical research that shows many positive effects on brain activity and other health benefits.

Adult Co-Ed Sport Nights

Meet new people by engaging in our Adult Sport Nights. From beginner to novice, all are welcome and encouraged to attend these fun nights!

Adult Sport Nights do not meet if school is called for Inclement weather. There will be no reschedules for dates missed because of school closures. 

Pickleball:  Mondays – January 7th, 2019 – March 25th, 2019 || 8:15 – 10 PM

Age: 35 years and older.

Location: Highlands Middle School

Cost: $25 – 35 Full Season or $5 drop in rate per night.

 

Basketball: Wednesdays – January 9th, 2019  – March 27th, 2019 (TBD) || 8:30 – 10 PM

Age: 21 years and older.

Location: Highlands Middle School

Cost: $25 – 35 Full Season or $5 drop in rate per night.

 

Vollyball: Thursdays – January 10th, 2019 – March 28th, 2019 || 8:30 – 10 PM

Age: 21 years and older.

Tuition and Refund Policies

1. FEES: Please make checks payable to Northview Public Schools and mail or drop off at the Community Education office located at 4561 Hunsberger. EARLY REGISTRATION is highly encouraged to ensure having each class offered. It is necessary that a minimum number of participants enroll to determine if the instructor/coordinator wishes to proceed with the class.

2. CONFIRMATIONS OR REMINDERS: You will not receive a confirmation or reminder about the class/program. Simply show up on the first day and your name will be on the list. Should you need verification on receipt of your payment and registration, please contact the Community Education office via email to verify.

3. REFUNDS: A full refund is made if the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or if the class fills before your registration is received. If you withdraw from a class up to three full working days in advance of its starting date, you receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. There will be NO REFUND if you cancel on the day the class begins and NO REFUNDS OR PRORATED FEES are made after the class has started, regardless of attendance.

4. CLASS CANCELLATIONS: Classes and programs are cancelled on any day that the school it is held in, is closed for any reason. (ie: Snow days, holidays, etc) Whenever possible your instructor will notify you of “day of” school cancellations but generally these will be noted on the local new outlets. These cancellations will not be rescheduled but in some circumstances the instructor will work with the students to rectify this.
