Northview Recreational Basketball

Adult recreational basketball is designed to give all interested individuals the opportunity to participate and meet new people while competing with and against community members.

League Format: Adult pick-up style league.  Individuals will play one night a week for 12 weeks. Basketballs are be provided.

Registration:  Registration and payment is due prior to the first game.

Cost:  $20.00

Location:  Highlands Gym

NEW!  TAI CHI CHUAN FOR BEGINNERS
Tai Chi Chuan is the Chinese system of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation and improving your balance and health.  This class is designed for adults of all ages and promotes a comfortable and enjoyable way to learn the very basic movements.  A factor to mention in the growing interest of Tai Chi is the ongoing biomedical research that shows many positive effects on brain activity and other health benefits.

This unique sport combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.  Pickleball was invented in the 1960s as a children’s backyard part-time but has become the latest rate among adults as well.  Beginners welcomed and encouraged.

League Format:  Individuals play one night a week for 10 weeks.  Round-robin style matches.  Participants must provide a pickleball paddle.
Age:  40 and older league
Cost:  $30 or $5 drop-in fee
Location:  Highlands Middle School Gym
Dates:  Mondays, February 5 – April 16, 2018
Time:  8:30 – 10 p.m.

Allergies In-Service 

Comm Ed Adult Registration Form 12.17

This class provides valuable insight to many questions surrounding common allergies, asthma and life threatening food allergies.  What is hayfever?  What is asthma?  What can be done for life threatening food allergies?  What can prevent severe insect sting allergies?  Can anything be done to prevent allergies and asthma?  Is there anything besides medications?

Instructor:  Dr. Vincent Dubravec is a local board certified allergist and clinical assistant professor who will review these and other important allergy topics and answer general questions.

Join the Northview Community Band!  There are no auditions.  Members should have previous high school experience and access to their own instrument.  Sign-up now for the best cure for the mid-winter blues.  Community concert on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Max Colley Jr. Performing Arts Center.

Tuition and Refund Policies: 1. FEES cover instructional costs only unless otherwise indicated. 2. EARLY REGISTRATION is urged to ensure having each class offered. It is necessary that a minimum number enroll. We do not send out confirmations or reminders; contact our office to verify receipt of registration and payment. 3. REFUNDS: A full refund is made if the class is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment or if the class fills before your registration is received. If you withdraw from a class up to three full working days in advance of its starting date, you receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. NO REFUND if you cancel on the day the class begins. NO REFUNDS are made after the class has started, regardless of attendance.
