Student Health Survey for 7th graders PDF Print E-mail

The Student Health Survey (SHS) is an online survey designed for Michigan schools to determine the nutrition and physical activity knowledge, beliefs, and behaviors of their students. It was created to assist middle and high schools in creating a healthier school environment. In addition to being an important component in creating a healthier school environment, the SHS offers the following benefits:

  • provides a means of obtaining information about student behavior and perceptions of the school's health environment. Since improving student behaviors and choices is the ultimate goal of creating a healthy school environment, the SHS can help a school gauge the success of their health efforts.
  • Schools receive personalized feedback reports with aggregated survey responses that can be used to assess progress over time or the impact of shorter term initiatives that occur within a school year.

Great America PDF Print E-mail

2014 8th Grade Trip to Great America:   At the end of each school year, the 8th grade class takes a trip to Great America. This year the Great America trip is planned for Friday, May 30, 2014. We are anticipating the cost of this trip will be approximately $85 per person, which will cover the cost of the chartered bus ride, admission into the park and lunch. Students have had opportunities to help defray the cost of the trip by participating in our fundraisers. Attending Great America is a reward and a privilege for those who have worked hard and were well behaved throughout their 8th grade year. It is our hope that all students will be able to attend. Detailed information about the trip will be handed out to the students in March. Please feel free to contact Carrie Powers at 364-1338 if you have any questions.
