.  Remember the end of the marking period is quickly approaching.  Mrs. Turner met with all current seventh grade students this week to hand out course selection sheets for next year.  Please be on the lookout for those sheets to come home.  They do require a parent/guardian signature and encore classes will be filled on a first come-first served basis.  This Saturday is the Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament at Thornapple-Kellogg schools.  We have a couple of teams competing for a chance to go to the World Tournament in late May.  The schedule with exact location times can be found at www.miodyssey.com  Also, the district has determined the first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year is going to be August 28.  Please keep this date in mind when planning your end of summer vacations.  Here is your schedule for next week:

Monday, March 20:

  • Last day to register for Kent County Youth Night – see attached
  • Yoga Club – during all lunches for last 15 minutes
  • 2:30-4:00 – IMC available for student to do work
  • 3:30-4:30 – Percussion Ensemble
  • 5:00-8:00 – Book Fair
  • 5:30-7:00 – FIRST DAY OF TENNIS PRACTICE (Weather dependent) – see attached schedule – SPORTS PHYSICAL AND CONCUSSION FORM ARE DUE IN THE OFFICE PRIOR TO PRACTICE

Tuesday, March 21:

  • 2:30-4:00 – IMC available for students to do work
  • 2:30-4:00 – Table Top Gamers Club
  • 2:30-4:00 – After-school help in the classrooms of Mrs. Buckner, Mr. Kirkman, Mr. Lentner, Ms. Mitchell
  • 3:30-4:30 – Jazz Band

Wednesday, March 22:

  • 2:30-4:00 – IMC available for students to do work

Thursday, March 23:

  • 2:30-4:00 – IMC available for students to do work
  • 2:30-4:00 – Technology Club
  • 2:30-4:00 – After-school help in the classrooms of Mrs. Buckner, Mr. Kirkman, Mrs. Potgeter, Ms. Mitchell
  • 2:45 – Dodge ball tournament to benefit East Coast Trip – $3 spectator admission fee
  • 4:00-9:00 – Mill Creek fundraiser to benefit East Coast Trip
