14 Dec Water Safety @ Northview
December 14, 2017
As the media continues to report on groundwater contamination in Plainfield Township, Northview continues to receive questions about the water in Northview schools. Understandably, it is a concern for all of us. It is important for the Northview school community to know that every school in our district is part of the Plainfield Municipal Water System. Plainfield Charter Township and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality have stated that this municipal water coming into Northview school buildings meets all state and federal requirements.
Safety is always a top priority at Northview Public Schools. Plainfield Charter Township has responded quickly to our questions, and through their website, has provided informational resources on the Plainfield Municipal Water System. To obtain this information provided by Plainfield Charter Township, go to http://www.plainfieldmi.org/water.html Additional updated information can be found in the Plainfield Township e-newsletter. Sign up by typing in your e-mail on their website – www.plainfieldmi.org. You can unsubscribe at any time if you feel the information isn’t helpful or relevant to you.
We will continue to work closely with Plainfield Charter Township and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality to monitor water quality in Northview Public Schools. Any additional information received by Northview will be shared on our website upon arrival.
