Student of the Quarter

12 Feb Student of the Quarter

This year East Campus is recognizing students who were able to put together sustained effort over the last 9 weeks as our Students of the Quarter.  East Campus is recognizing these students as exemplary citizens of our culture.  We are proud of their accomplishments both in their academics and in their ability to be social leaders.  These students were recognized by their teachers and also taken out to breakfast by our Dean of Students, Drew Klopcic.  Thank you each for your hard work and your willingness to learn.

Ms. Peck would like to recognize James Woods:

Picture of James Woods as Student of the Quarter stands in front of a white brick wall with his hands in his pockets, wearing a short sleeve black, white, and grey. James is smirking wearing glasses and a beard with hair pushed forward on his forehead and coming over his ears.

James Woods has shown tremendous leadership skills this past quarter. As captain of our quiz bowl team, James motivated his teammates with a positive, friendly attitude that helped the team achieve second place; in fact, the team finished only one point behind the winning team! James’s encouragement, intelligence, and kindness helped drive the team towards success.

James also has demonstrated strong leadership skills as a member of the student council. He helped organize and implement this year’s bake sale, the cereal drive for HQ (a homeless shelter for teens), as well as the volunteering opportunity at HQ.

James is a positive, thoughtful individual who leads others with support and encouragement.
