Parent volunteers are welcomed & encouraged at Highlands Middle School! There are a variety of different ways to be involved…from chaperoning a field trip, providing a dish to pass for teachers during Conferences, selling pizza or making snow cones at a Friday Fun Day, helping students select or wrap gifts purchased at the Holiday Shop, to organizing or staffing fundraisers.
The Highlands PTC is looking for a few parent volunteers to chair a committee for the 2019-2020 school year. Once we have our chairpersons in place, the PTC Board will begin recruiting additional volunteers to serve on each committee. If you have questions about what being a chairperson entails, please contact Karlie Rittenhouse at (616) 361-3440 or at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Helping Us Raise Funds For Highlands
The Highlands PTC raises money to fund events and activities that are important to your child’s educational experience…things like Field trips, camp, Field Day, the Holiday Shop, playground equipment and more. Below are ways you help ensure these things continue, many just through your everyday shopping!
Save Those Box Tops
Collect Box Tops and send these to school with your child. Ask Grandma & Grandpa to help!
Designate Highlands as your charity of choice with the following retailers:
Meijer – Sign up for a Meijer 1 card at http://www.meijer.com/rewards & designate Highlands PTC under “Community Rewards” using group #776911. The Meijer 1 card is NOT a credit card. When swiped at the register during checkout, a percentage of your purchase will be donated back to Highlands! And the best news is, every purchase throughout the year counts!
Target – Go to http://www.target.com/ & designate Highlands #62777 for your Target Credit or Debit REDcard account. 1% of ALL purchases throughout the year will be donated back to Highlands!
Donate My Coke Rewards points: Save those twist tops! You can create an account online at mycokerewards.com & enter codes to collect points that can then be donated to Highlands Middle School. Otherwise, save your clean caps in a gallon Ziploc bag & send them into the school so that we can do the job for you!
