• Please be sure you have completed your NHS Senior Interview Sheet. This is a REQUIRED task in Naviance Student. Without the completion of the Senior Interview Sheet, your transcript and Letters of Recommendations will be delayed. Please see the Counseling office if you can’t find the task in Naviance Student.

• ATTENTION SENIORS: that may qualify for SAT fee waivers: In order to take advantage of two free SAT® registrations, six free SAT Subject Test™ registrations, waived application fees at select colleges, unlimited score sends, and much more, you will need to log in to the link below to accept your benefits. See you counselor if you have any questions.

• FAFSA NOW OPEN!: The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now open. Go to website or download the myStudentAid app.


COLLEGE VISIT REMINDER: if students are planning on taking a day off from school to do a college visit, you must pick up a form in the Counseling office prior to your visit. The absence cannot be excused without the required form turned into the attendance office.

U.S. ARMY RECRUITER: will be doing a presentation on Tue., Jan. 28th at 10:00am to students wanting to learn more about the Army. Students must sign-up ahead of time on Naviance under College Visits.

ATTENTION JUNIORS: The Bezos Scholars Program is a year-long leadership development program that amplifies youth voice and action. For more information and application visit www.bezosscholarsorg/lead Deadline to apply is Jan. 31st.

KENT CAREER TECHNICAL CENTER (KCTC): is now offering Program Visits for students interested in attending KCTC for next fall. Students must reserve a spot ahead of time. KCTC gives preferential treatment during the enrollment process (Feb./Mar. 2020) for students who make a visit. Stop in the Counseling Office for the form and more information.

KUYPER COLLEGE: is hosting Kuyper Experience Days on the following dates: Feb. 21st and Mar. 27th. This is a great opportunity to learn more about what Kuyper has to offer.

CALVIN COLLEGE: is hosting “Fridays at Calvin” to give students an authentic experience of life on campus. “Fridays at Calvin Plus” includes the option to stay overnight in a dorm. For more information visit or call 800-688-0122.
