Congratulations to the JV boys basketball team who finished off their season with a solid 57-38 win over Greenville last night. Ethan Klaiss led the team win scoring with 14 points. Congrats to the whole team for a great defensive effort.

The boys varsity basketball team defeated Greenville last night 50-43 to finish their regular season. Paul Castle led the team with 10 points. The team finished 9-11 and 6-6 in the OK White Conference. For the tournament next week, Northview drew a bye in the first round of districts and will play the winner of Greenville and Lowell 5:30 PM on Wednesday at Rockford.

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT TRIP TO EUROP THIS SUMMER: If you are still interested in going to the Southern Mediterranean Coast in June, please stop by and see Mrs. Steelman TODAY for information.

A reminder to any JV or Varsity boys golf candidates, that indoor hitting times are open TODAY after school. Stop in Mr. Tull’s room to reserve a spot.

Applications for the KCTC Criminal Justice program are due by 2:30 PM TODAY in the guidance office.

Thursday, April 18th is the last blood drive of the school year! This is the chance to begin donating or to finish out your high school year by giving the gift of life. If you are 16 you can begin to donate; you will need to get a sheet from Mr. Burba when you sign up. We are beginning sign-ups in Mr. Burba’s room from now until the drive. Let’s break the record of 161 sign-ins and 107 pints of blood.

Attention all National Honor Society members: There is a meeting next Wednesday, March 8th at 7:25 AM in the PAC.

DYP members will have one last practice next Wednesday, March 8th during third hour in the Collaboration Room.

Kent Career Tech Center is hosting an Open House next Thursday, March 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to explore the various programs KCTC has to offer.

Reminder DYP members: Upcoming presentations will be on Friday, March 10th at Crossroads. We ask that you arrive at Crossroads by 7:20 AM to go over a few things before we begin. See you there!

North Oakview is looking for volunteers to help with their Family Fun night on Friday, March 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The fun night will be held at the high school. Any student that is interested please email Principal Cotter at North Oakview (
