Attention Seniors: The Counseling Department is hosting a financial aid meeting on TONIGHT at 6:30 PM in the PAC. A financial aid officer from GVSU will provide an overview of the financial aid process and explain the FAFSA form. Great informational meeting!

Attention National Honor Society Member: Our next meeting has been changed to next Tuesday at 7:15 AM in the PAC. Attendance is mandatory.

SADD members, if you ordered a t-shirt please bring Mr. Burba $6. I will not put in the order until I have your money. Let’s try to have the money in by next Monday.

Students and staff, we have 33 people signed up to donate blood and we need your help. We are trying to get at least 80 sign-ups. Please consider giving the gift of life. Sign up in Mr. Burba’s room.

There will be a spirit bus for Friday’s varsity football game in Greenville. The bus will leave at 4:15 from the athletic entrance. Please sign up with Mrs. Parmerlee in the athletic office.
$1 to ride the bus and $5 for a ticket to the game. Go Cats!!

Attention all students attending the debate day field trip: The bus is scheduled to arrive in the bus loop this Friday at 7:40 AM for a 7:45 departure. Please bring a pencil and a notebook and gather at front doors by the main office at by 7:40 AM this Friday.

Attention all Students and Staff: Next Wednesday, October 16th, the Advanced Theatre Arts students will perform the one-act play Radium Girls. The play is based upon the true story of female factory workers who contracted radiation poisoning from painting watch dials with self-luminous paint. The case became national news in the 1920s when the women fought the United States Radium Corporation for medical compensation. Curtain time for this thought-provoking drama is 7:00 PM in the PAC. Admission is free!

If you have not received a Northview High School Handbook this year, please stop by the main office to get your copy.

• The Army National Guard will visit during lunches on Monday, October 21st.

KCTC is now offering Program Visits for students interested in attending KCTC for next fall. Students must reserve a spot ahead of time. Stop in the Counseling Office for the form and more information.

A College Fair at Aquinas College is being held next Tuesday, October 15th from 12:00-2:00 PM and 6:00-7:30 PM at the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center on campus. More than 70 colleges, universities and military personnel will be present.

The Advanced Theatre Arts class is preparing for the 3rd annual THEATRE BY THE NUMBERS and we need your writing. Any student or staff member is invited to submit an original piece of writing to be performed by the class. Please submit your short scenes/skits, short stories, monologues, and poetry for a live dramatization. Pick up an application from your English teacher or see Mrs. Hoffman in Room 2108. Deadline to submit pieces is next Wednesday, October 16th.

Registration is now taking place for Juniors interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT test on Wednesday, October 16th. Students can register in the Counseling Office by Friday, October 11th. The fee is $20.00.

KCTC is holding their fall OPEN HOUSE on Thursday, October 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to explore the various program KCTC has to offer.

Grand Rapids Community College is hosting their “Fall Open House” on Saturday, October 26th from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. Visit grcc.edu/openhouse for more information.

College Representatives visit NHS throughout the school year. These are excellent opportunities for students to learn more about college’s admissions process and other general information. EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Students can find all current job posting information on the bulletin board outside the Media Center.

There will be a Senior class meeting in the Auditorium with Jostens on Wednesday, November 13th at 9:00 AM regarding your caps and gowns and other graduation products orders. You will be dismissed via PA. This is a very important meeting, so try not to miss it!

Jostens will be back during lunches in the Athletic Lobby on Wednesday, November 20th, to collect your graduation products orders.
