Windows 7 End of Life

Windows 7 is now END OF LIFE.

15 Jan Windows 7 End of Life

After 10 years, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end on January 14, 2020, with Office 2010 following shortly thereafter.  “
This means that windows 7 devices will no longer receive updates and will become a security risk. We have heard many staff did not know if this meant their computer was going away. To that end the IT department will be coming around and putting a sticker on each machine to verify it.
If the machine receives a PINK sticker, it’s good to go.
If the machine receives a GREEN sticker it is going to be upgraded to windows 10. If you submit a ticket we can schedule the transfer of your data before the upgrade. Otherwise IT will upgrade the machine based on their schedule.
If the machine receives an ORANGE sticker, it cannot support windows 10 and will be removed.
If you could make sure devices are out to help us locate them, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for helping make sure our systems are secure!
