Welcome to West Oakview Elementary School

HeitzmanDan9.14Dear Families,

As the new principal at West Oakview Elementary, I am truly looking forward to partnering with you to provide an outstanding educational experience for your entire family. As a parent, I recognize the importance of a strong home-school connection. Parents are every child’s first teacher and I believe that by working together as a team, we can make sure your child’s social, emotional, and academic needs are met.

As Dr. Korpak stated in his previous letter, my career in education started at West Oakview 25 years ago when I was hired for my first teaching position; I feel as though I am returning home. Fortunately, I have had the pleasure of working with the staff at West for the past several years while serving as the Director of Special Services. I feel blessed to be part of such a dedicated group of educators.

I am looking forward to working with you to have an outstanding 2016- 17 school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. If you would like to contact me, my e-mail address is dheitzman@nvps.net.

Have a wonderful summer!

Sincerely,

Dan Heitzman

Principal, West Oakview Elementary School
